In a near future the world will have to leave the Wi-Fi in favor of Li-Fi, an alternative technology with real data transmission speeds up to 1 Gbps, 100 times faster than Wi-Fi technology.
With this speed each of you will be able to download an HD movie in just a few seconds.
A company called Velmenni has developed a technology, tested in the laboratory and in real environments in Estonia, which can achieve this speed transmission.
Li-Fi transmits data through LED lights that pulsed in the range of nanoseconds and are invisible to the human eye. This technology was invented in 2011 and in laboratory conditions has reached dizzying speed transmission of 224 Gbps.
Unlike Wi-Fi signals that can penetrate walls, Li-Fi technology is based on light signals which means that theoretically is more limited. But being limited is even more secure.
Li-Fi Technology opens the door for developing new technologies in home conditions. In the future lamps that illuminate the premises of the house why not can also be used to distribute online.
