An overview of the Intel Core i7-5775C, processor that no one wanted

Intel has just added a new product to its line of processors, it is about 3.3GHz Intel Core i7-5775C designed for desktop computers. In fact the internet is a product that has long required.

Broadwell processors are always described as low-level components and not practice. Therefore, Intel has introduced a new generation Skylake. However reaction and pressure from community and sellers s desktop made Intel be forced to bring another Broadwell processor. This is Intel Core i7-5775C which not only Intel but even manufacturers are not willing.

But what are Broadwell processors? Intel introduced 10 types Broadwell processor in the June Computex event. As Intel has decided, a large part of them is designed for laptops, and the rest for mini computers. Of those 10 only 2 types to suit customers requirements. But to use such a processor must first BIOS updated appropriately. Broadwell is 14nm architecture that offers a 4% increase in performance compared with Intel's Haswell models. But Broadwell is not better than Haswell compared to all viewpoints.

How is it tested?

To see more specifically performance or other components of this new processor, he underwent a series of tests that were performed on a computer with 16GB Asus Z97 Deluxe DDR3 / 1600 and 240GB SSDs that use an operating system Windows 10. Of course, graphics performance is considered as one of the most important features but processor-level indicator. In order for the result to be as accurate, i7-5775C Intel Core processor compared with the Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell. The latter has a 4GHz frequency and Intel HD4600 graphics, while 3.3GHz Intel Core frequency i7-5775C.

HandBrake test

The first test that needs discussion is the handbrake during which tested the conversion of a massive 30 GB MKV file to MP4 format. The result of this test drew significantly victorious Intel Core i7-5775C. But the same thing happens if using dedicated transistors Intel Quick Sync. In this case Intel Core i7-4790K which reflects a better performance.

Testing CineBench R15

It is a test based on the animated package Maxon, Cinema 4D. CineBench tests at the same time processor but also the number of "Thread" that act as nuclei. The result is not surprising, Broadwell 3.7GHz processor fails can beat Haswell 4.4GHz.

Work performance, PCMark testing 8

This testing simulates various computer tasks divided into categories Work, Home and Creative. Work includes tasks such as Office Drone, videos and games while light Home features more casual games. Again proçesoru Intel Core i7-4790K is victorious in this test.

Creative performance

In this test, the successful return Broadwell triumphing over Intel Core i7-4790K, though with a narrow result. This happens thanks to the skills of the best games that Broadwell.

Performance in chess

Here comes the turn of Fritz 12 Chessbenchmark test which measures skills that has a processor to calculate chess moves. This time the result is not the result of Broadwell side. Although Broadwell cores are 5 times more efficient it was not enough to defeat the high speed Intel Core i7-4790K.

Synthetic Gaming Performance

This thanks to the 3DMark test. Here Broadwell chip gains more points than Haswell chips reflecting how far Intel has moved. The advantage is due to the eDRAM. Finally we can say that Intel has come in terms of graphics performance AMD.

Concrete testing games

Throughout the game Dirt Showdown, strongly appears Broadwell. The same thing happens during games BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

OpenCL Performance

The last test conducted is Luxmark 3.0 which measures the performance of OpenCL. OpenCL is a way to put in general computer tasks in a graphic chip. And here is the same, Broadwell notable triumphs over other chip.

Conclusion

The arrival of this processor from Intel is seen with surprise because the company has announced it will bring successor Haswell, Skylake which is expected to be a real success. So why waste time with Intel Broadwell? If Skylake arrives quickly to the public will no longer have the desire to buy or use a new system with Broadwell processor. Beyond that Broadwell far has proved to be slower than Haswell has no interest to use one. We can say that the strong point of Broadwell are integrated graphics and this due to the presence of DRAM. So Broadwell is perfect for lovers lojrave.Pavarësisht all, who would spend 366 dollars on a processor to play games without having a graphics card which costs 150 dollars? Very few pëdoroues or not? Given that Broadwell disappointed us somewhat, now we look forward to the arrival of the new generation Skylake.
