Yahoo buys known fashion website Polyvore

To expand its business, but also offers to users, the company Yahoo Inc. It has decided to buy the website focussing on fashion, Polyvore. Yahoo said Polyvore will help him in the growth strategy known as 'Mavens'.

Mavens includes four areas where the company is focused; mobile, video, advertising and social fields. Yahoo! has created this strategy to withstand competitors like Google and Facebook's end of June, it was reported that Yahoo gets a third of total revenues of the four areas mentioned above. Mavens portfolio includes BrightRoll, Flurry, Yahoo Gemini and Tumblr. Now these services were added and Polyvore.


Regarding Polyvore, this site was founded in 2007. The founder of Polyvore and CEO Jess Lee previously been part of the staff of Google. At Polyvore users can combine clothes and accessories to create sets of clothes according to their tastes. We can say that this website is unique in its kind and currently owns a large number of users.
