Modem

Connecting the two computers in the analog telephone system requires that each computer be equipped with the appropriate modem. Using the process called modulation, modem converts digital computer signals into analog signals, which can be sent through the telephone system. We terminus of the receipt, the process used is one of the demodulation, wherein the analog signal is transformed to digital again. Modem play both roles, modulation and demodulation.
